Update on Randy Orton’s WWE Status and 2018 Schedule, Cena Hypes “Ferdinand”, News On Movie’s Box Office Performance

As we noted earlier this week, Randy Orton’s WrestleMania 34 status has been in question, considering he will be working a much lighter schedule in 2018.

As of now, Orton is not being advertised for any WWE events between February 6th and April 9th. Considering WrestleMania 34 takes place on April 8th, it’s unknown at this time whether or not The Viper will be working the big PPV.

In addition to the above, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports Orton is not being advertised for the WWE European tour taking place in May.

The report furthers Orton is said to be very happy with his job in WWE right now, as the company gives him plenty of time off but he is still paid as a top star, making north of several million dollars per year.

Cena Hypes “Ferdinand”, News On Movie’s Box Office Performance

As noted, the John Cena-starring animated film “Ferdinand” opened this past weekend, up against the box office giant, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, which brought in a staggering $220 million domestically.

“Ferdinand” finished number two for the weekend, taking in $13,401,586 in North America and another $6,190,081 internationally. Despite finishing at number two, the movie underperformed financially as it had a budget of $111 million.

In related news, Cena hyped the film with the following Tweet:

Prepare to laugh, cry, and hear some funny animal sounds (especially from #KateMcKinnon)…See #Ferdinand TODAY! https://t.co/7S6DFt4Oqu pic.twitter.com/yxjOBAxYKr
