Trump Spends Thanksgiving With Troops In Afghanistan: Photos

BAGRAM AIR FIELD — President Donald Trump surprised U.S. troops stationed in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving, serving dinner and talking about peace negotiations with the Taliban. It was Trump’s first ever visit to Afghanistan.

Trump said that peace talks had begun again with the Taliban following a deadly suicide attack in September linked to the group. Trump also spoke with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani. Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley also address the troops.
