We reported yesterday that according to the taping schedule released by Universal Studios, TNA will tape Impact on Monday, March 24th and Tuesday, March 25th, leading to speculation that the company had scrapped plans to air the show live on the Thursday before WrestleMania weekend on Spike TV.
However, according to more than one source inside TNA, that is not the case. The company still wants to do a live show on Thursday, March 27th and tape the following week’s edition of Impact the next night, however, they are waiting on Spike TV to give them the go ahead. If Spike TV gives TNA the green light, it’s likely that the taping will be changed to later in the week to accommodate the live broadcast.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the final decision will be made next week.
