R-Truth Breaks Two Year Dry Spell on Smackdown Live, Hell in a Cell Hype Packages for Jeff Hardy & Randy Orton

R-Truth Breaks His Losing Streak

In case you missed it, R-Truth managed to sneak his way into the main event of this week’s episode of Smackdown Live, as he faced off against his old tag team partner The Miz.

The match inevitably broke down into utter chaos, with Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella coming out to confront their Hell in a Cell opponents, as well as Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega, who have been mixing it up with the Total Bellas stars in recent weeks. In all the confusion, Truth was able to catch Miz off-guard for a surprise pinfall victory.

The win was actually R-Truth’s very first television win on Raw or Smackdown Live in nearly two years, since he defeated Titus O’Neil in singles competition on the October 10, 2016 edition of WWE Raw. This marks only his third singles victory on TV in the last three years.

Hardy/Orton Hell in a Cell Promos

Both Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy were absent from this week’s episode of Smackdown Live, and in their place WWE ran two video packages hyping their upcoming Hell in a Cell match on Sunday, September 16th. Check out the videos in their entirety below.
