News on Lesnar’s Contract, Ambrose Update. IIconics Used to Feud?

One of the biggest surprises that took place during WrestleMania 34 came when Brock Lesnar retained his Universal Championship over Roman Reigns. It was later announced that Lesnar had re-signed with WWE for an unspecified amount of time. Fox Sports has just revealed that Lesnar’s new deal gives him $637,000 per match plus another $127,000 for each television appearance that he makes. Additionally, Lesnar receives 6% of all of his merchandise sales, and WWE is allowed to use his likeness for merchandise now, thus giving “The Beast Incarnate” another $637,000 per year. Lesnar will be appearing on Raw this Monday night before he competes at the Greatest Royal Rumble event this Friday.
After years of feuding against each other, one of the greatest WWE moments of 2017 arrived when Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns finally put aside their differences and reunited The Shield. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins managed to win the Raw Tag Team Championships last year, but the reunion was cut short after Ambrose received a triceps injury that has kept him out of action for months. During an interview with KFM 94.5 in Cape Town, South Africa, Seth Rollins provided an injury update on Ambrose. Rollins noted that “The Lunatic Fringe” is still recovering at the moment, but he may be ready to return by the summer. “He had some pretty extensive triceps surgery earlier this year so he’s definitely still on the mend and rehabbing. But he’ll be back and better than ever, you wait. Summertime, maybe late Spring. Somewhere in there, I think, whenever that wily guy gets back to normal.” Rollins said.
Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have recently moved up from NXT to Smackdown as The IIconics, and it seemed appropriate to bring them up together. It’s hard to imagine the two Australian superstars without each other. However, during an interview on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast, Kay and Royce revealed that there was once a time that they really did not like each other. The two had what was described as a “mini feud” during their time together in high school as they competed over which one of them was truly the bigger wrestling fan. Fortunately for fans of The IIconics, the two very quickly became friends once they started training for pro wrestling together. “She started training at the company I was at and as soon as we met we had this connection and this bond that is really indescribable. We became connected straight away.” Kay said.
