New Match For Royal Rumble, Change to WK13, Wrestlers Engaged

In the main event of WWE’s TLC pay-per-view, Asuka was able to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship after Ronda Rousey got involved in the match and took out Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Of course, former champion Becky Lynch is determined to get revenge on Ronda and win her championship back from “The Empress of Tomorrow.” According to PWInsider, WWE announced during this week’s episode of Main Event that Becky Lynch will face Asuka for the championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in Phoenix, Arizona on January 27th. “The Man” likely wants to win back the championship in time for WrestleMania 35, and her match against Asuka just might be her last chance to accomplish this goal.
New Japan Pro Wrestling will be hosting their annual Wrestle Kingdom show on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome. The card for the event is already set, but unfortunately for NJPW, an injury has just forced the promotion to make a change to one of the matches. NJPW has confirmed that Michael Elgin will be missing the show due to a knee injury. As a result, Yuji Nagata will now be teaming up with Jeff Cobb and David Finlay to compete in a Gauntlet match for the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships on the Wrestle Kingdom pre-show. The event will mark the 13th Wrestle Kingdom show for NJPW, and it is set to be headlined by a match between Kenny Omega and Hiroshi Tanahashi for Omega’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

The professional wrestling industry is seeing its fair share of couples putting on wedding rings right now. NXT Superstars Aleister Black and Zelina Vega were reportedly married not too long ago while WWE Superstars Sarah Logan and Rowe also tied the knot just this week. It looks like Jordynne Grace and Jonathan Gresham are the latest wrestlers to get engaged. Grace announced her engagement on social media last night. Gresham has been making a name for himself in Ring of Honor while Grace became part of the Impact Wrestling roster earlier this year. The two of them have also worked together in matches in Beyond Wrestling in the past. Grace uploaded a photo of herself with her new ring on Twitter as well.
