The Club president Antonio Saura has announced a stunning year and activities that will be held between January and November, including cultural events, documentaries, books, photography exhibitions, conferences and a lot of sport, including that brand new 46,000 Challenger tournament.
Club has some 5,000 members and they will have a chance to play with vintage racquets and attend the gala dinner in January that will also serve as the trophy presentation for some prominent people from Murcia. In February, the book about the Clubs first 100 years will be presented, followed by the documentary that tells the history of the Club and shows interviews with the most notable members from the past.
April is reserved for the photography exhibition at the Avenida de la Libertad, showing large-format pictures of both the Club and Murcia in general and of course for the Challenger tournament that will bring players from the Top 200.
May is reserved for the tennis on the street that will also promote the exhibition match that will take place later that month with some big tennis names involved. Things will only get better in June with the historic tournament with wooden racquets and the clothes from 100 years ago, backed by padel and swimming competitions.
October is reserved for conferences and the Spanish National Championships in doubles will be staged in Murcia in November, together with a Centennial Gala Dinner that will serve as the last big event in this historic year at the Murcia Club de Tenis 1919.
