Man pays to release impounded car, then throws Molotov cocktails at it

A Florida hothead allegedly hurled Molotov cocktails at his own impounded car — after forking over the $300 to get the vehicle out of the lot, according to reports.

Ayub Mule Abdulrahman, 27, went to the Almake Auto Shop in Orange County on Saturday to get his Nissan Altima back when things got heated, WFTV reported.

Surveillance footage obtained by the news outlet allegedly shows Abdulrahman tossing several of the glass-bottle bombs over a chain-link fence and onto his vehicle.

“He came back and started throwing gas cocktail bombs over the fence on his own car,” car lot owner Darnell Adams told WFTV.

Adams told the news site that he was in the process of bringing Abdulrahman the keys to his car when the man started to throw the firebombs.

Abdulrahman had already paid nearly $300 to get his car out of the lot, Adams said.

“I didn’t even own it anymore. He was getting it out,” Adams told the news outlet. “Twenty minutes. If he had waited 20 minutes, he would’ve been able to drive away in his car.”

Adams added that the fiery incident “is on camera and I showed it to the cops.”

“I mean it’s just clear as day, throwing like three, four, five gas bombs over the fence,” Adams said.

The car lot owner recalled that he was coming around the corner with Abdulrahman’s car keys when Abdulrahman made a run for it.

Adams said he chased after him, holding him until deputies arrived to arrest him.

The owner and his mechanic managed to put out the fire with an extinguisher.

“What if he would’ve came back later and tried to finish the job and all my cars catch on fire?” Adams said. “We got a paint shop in the back so it’s a lot of flammable materials and he could’ve harmed a lot of people over here.”

Abdulrahman was busted on charges of arson and manufacturing and transporting a firebomb.
