Johnny Gargano Confirms Final NXT Dates, Hardy Teases Compound

Johnny Gargano was one of the biggest stars in NXT for a while. He has been praised for his work inside and outside of the ring, but he blew fans away with his match against Andrade “Cien” Almas at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia back in January. Gargano challenged Almas for his NXT Championship once again not too long ago on NXT and he even agreed to put his career on the line. Unfortunately for “Johnny Wrestling” an unexpected crutch shot from his former tag team Tommaso Ciampa led to him losing the match. Johnny Gargano was later shown leaving Center Stage in Atlanta with his wife Candice LeRae after wrestling what is being called his final match on NXT television.

I’ve had a few days to collect my thoughts.. As I finish the last of my commitments at live events this upcoming weekend.. I just wanted to say.. #ThankYouNXT

Interestingly enough, fans who watched the video online of Johnny Gargano signing the papers confirming his termination from the developmental brand may have noticed that General Manager William Regal said that Gargano would be finished with NXT after fulfilling some remaining commitments that he still had. For the first time since the loss, Gargano posted a statement on social media addressing his loss and subsequent NXT departure. Gargano also confirmed that he will be wrapping up his commitments with NXT after appearing on some of the live events scheduled for this weekend. Perhaps a move to WWE’s main roster is in the future for “Johnny Wrestling.”

“Woken” Matt Hardy was not in Anaheim, California last night to spread more of his “Woken Wisdom,” but Bray Wyatt challenged Hardy to another match during the show. Hardy commented on Wyatt’s remarks later on as Raw continued to air, and Hardy seemed to indicate that the third match in their feud could be taking place at his own home. For months now, Matt has teased that segments similar to the Final Deletion will be coming soon, but that still has yet to happen in WWE. Through a tweet, Hardy agreed to face Wyatt again as long as he agrees to his terms and to have the match on his “battlefield.” It looks like Wyatt and Hardy will do battle once again at some point very soon.

Celebrating with #HouseHardy at #TheHardyCompound. I took a part of your ESSENCE last night, Bray Wyatt.
