IIT Delhi Students Fight Air Pollution By Replacing Wood With Cow Dung Logs For Cremating Dead

While Delhi residents continue to choke under the capital’s toxic air, 40 students from India’s reputed technology institute have devised a way to combat air pollution with a simple trick: by replacing wood with cow dung.

A team from IIT Delhi sought this “environment-friendly” technique to not only reduce pollution but also deforestation by drastically minimizing dependence on wood. Cow dung logs will be used during the funeral instead of wood that produces carbon-dioxide.
