Ember Moon, No Way Jose, & The Authors of Pain Debut on Raw

As usual, fans expected a few callups from NXT to take place on last night’s first edition of Raw after WrestleMania. It had been common to see some names from WWE’s developmental brand be officially promoted to the main roster starting on the first episodes of Raw and Smackdown after WrestleMania. Last night’s Raw was no exception as No Way Jose made his main roster debut on Raw last night in New Orleans, Louisiana. Jose was flanked by a massive conga line as he made his entrance and he made a nice first impression by defeating a local enhancement talent within just a matter of minutes. No Way Jose has officially arrived on Monday Night Raw.

That is not the only NXT Superstar to debut on the show last night. New Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax needed a tag team partner for her match against Alexa Bliss and Mickie James, and she got a very special partner when Ember Moon suddenly arrived. Moon accomplished a lot during her time with NXT. She is a former NXT Women’s Champion who appeared in the women’s Royal Rumble match back in January, but she is now here to stay on WWE’s main roster. Moon just recently lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Shayna Baszler at NXT Takeover: New Orleans. Jax and Moon managed to get the win quickly after Moon laid out Alexa Bliss with the Eclipse.

Another debut from NXT took place during Monday Night Raw last night, this time a brand new tag team arrived. Formerly undefeated NXT Tag Team Champions Akam and Rezar, better known as The Authors of Pain, defeated Heath Slater and Rhyno in the first round of a tournament for the vacant Raw Tag Team Championships. The Authors of Pain were accompanied to the ring by their manager, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering, however, both men left Ellering all by himself at ringside after picking up the quick victory. Although The Authors of Pain have arrived on Monday Night Raw, this could signify that their relationship with Ellering has officially come to an end.
