Club world championship returns

The FIVB club world championship featuring eight of the world´s best volleyball clubs will take place from November 3-8 in Qatar.

 

 

Qatar agreed to host the event last year but due to financial problems the tournament did not take place. The club world championship is returning after 17-year log gap. The draw of the FIVB Men´s World Clubs Volleyball Championship will be held on August 13, 2009 with attendance of FIVB Vice president and representative of participating teams.

The Club World Championship will feature eight of the world´s best Volleyball clubs, including Italy´s Trentino Volley, Egypt´s Zamalek, Iran´s Payakan, and Qatar´s Al Arabi Doha. The wild cards are Poland´s PGE Skra Belchatow and Russia´s Dinamo Kazan, with teams from CSV and NORCECA to be determined at a later date.
